The future belongs to the next generation. That is why we want to contribute to providing young people with the skills they need to reflect on their role and responsibility as citizens of the world - and to derive opportunities for action for a just and sustainable planet. A way out of global crises, social injustices, ecological disasters, and economic imbalances is only possible if fundamental changes take place in patterns of production, consumption, and thought.

Countries in the Northern Hemisphere must recognise the developmental needs of countries in the Southern Hemisphere and at the same time limit their own excessive consumption of resources. Countries in the Northern Hemisphere must value diverse perspectives and promote equal participation of the Southern Hemisphere in processes of change. Countries in the Northern Hemisphere must address and recognise (historical) conditions of global injustice as postcolonial. In this sense, all countries are "developing countries" - not just those designated as such.
